Understanding microwebers and milliwebers
A microweber (µWb) is 10⁻⁶ of the base unit (weber) and a milliweber (mWb) is 10⁻³. They sit three powers of ten apart, so going from µWb to mWb means dividing by exactly 1,000 — move the decimal point three places to the left.
Microwebers appear in small signal transformers, current-sense coils, magnetic read heads and flux-gate sensors. SQUID magnetometers resolve far below this, down to fractions of the flux quantum at about 2.07 fWb.
This calculator shifts the decimal exponent rather than multiplying in binary floating point, so 5,000 µWb returns exactly 5 mWb — not a value with a trailing rounding error.
